Spotters Hockey Coaching

We love hockey and are passionate about providing a specialised and effective coaching experience to impart the love of the game and provide a great learning environment. We are running the following during Summer 2026: 

• Royal High School, Lansdown (Bath)

  👥 Ages 10–16
• book a 45 or 90 minute 1-2-1 or book onto a small group coaching sessions. Masterclasses each week on goal scoring and deflections, game awareness and GK skills

• 3-5 August - ages 7-14
• 18 and 19 August - new camp for Performers aged 12-16 included advanced coaching sessions

Registration 0930 am: pick up by 3.20pm. Coaching 10-12pm and 1-3pm; Venue: RHS Astro Bath*

Beginners & Improvers (Ages 7–10)

 Perfect for players taking their first steps in hockey or building on the basics. These sessions focus on developing core skills such as dribbling, passing, tackling, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. Players will grow in confidence and enjoy plenty of game play to put new skills into action.

•  Developers & Emerging Performers (Ages 10-12)

Ideal for players who have a solid grasp of the fundamentals and are ready to refine their technique. This level introduces more tactical awareness, advanced stick skills, and small-sided match play to help players make good decisions under pressure. Coaches challenge players to think creatively and play with purpose.

• Performers (Ages 12-14)

For committed players aiming to elevate their game to the next level. Training focuses on advanced technical skills, positional understanding, and match strategies, with plenty of high-tempo drills and scenario-based sessions -  outfield players and specialised GK coaching

For players with ambition wanting to work in the stretch zone - prepare for advancing onto the EHB Player Pathway - eg Talent Academy Pathway, or increasing performance at club or school S&C introductory programme

Prices are per person and not transferable. All booking discounts are per person.

We are also taking bookings 1 hour 1-2-1 or bespoke small group sessions £68 ph for 1-2-1 (up to 3 players can share the cost) or small groups minimum 6 players £18pp ph. Please indicate on the session booking field if this is your booking requirement - a range of dates to suit you  

 
GK coaching with U 18 Engkand GK Max Fairley at all Camp and Workshop events - small supplement payable (dies not apply to Thursday evenings)

I hereby give my approval for my child’s participation in any and all activities prepared by Spotters Hockey during the selected camp. My child's participation is entirely at my choice and I therefore accept the risk of being injured that is inherent in all sports activities, including hockey.

Please note: All sessions are subject to sufficient bookings and no government restrictions. If your child is unable to attend and the space can be resold, a credit will be issued for a future camp. Refunds are not available.

BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM  I AM AGREEING TO THE BOOKING TERMS. PRESSING SUBMIT WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.

All camps will run subject to sufficient bookings being received and no government warnings in place. Venues may be subject to change: coaching will go ahead in most weathers unless deemed unsafe. 

Please note that hockey is unpredictable and whilst every care is taken, no liability for injury sustained  whilst attending our sessions, will be taken and all sessions are attended at your own risk.

No refunds can be made but where possible an alternative session may be attended with a small admin fee to cover costs of rebooking; this is subject to re selling the space.

✅ We have many levels of coaching available offering sessions throughout the year, both in term time and during the holidays. Whatever level suits your young hockey player, from ages 7-18 we will be able to provide a coaching environment that will enhance player performance whilst maximising engagement through fun and enjoyment. 

✅ We start at age 7 (but can extend to age 6 if appropriate - please ask!) and broadly group by age but are flexible to also allow players to join groups appropriate to ability. For this set of events players aged 6-8 will be catered for within the workshop programme where sufficient numbers apply.

✅ When we run our Main camps (generally Easter and Summer holidays), we have camps for Beginners and Improvers (ages 6/7-10), Developers and Emerging Performers (ages 11-12)and Performers looking to progress (ages 12-16) and players looking to work at stretch with the aim to play ay high level (aged 13/14-18) - our HPC.

✅ We now have workshops for players, focussing on goal scoring, defensive play and elimination skills for those aged 9-15.
Those playing at JAC level and the new EHB Talent Academy, or aspiring to that level (ages 12-16) will receive performance coaching and athlete development to aid progression. Those looking to progress at Talent Academy level should attend our HPC.

✅ Players will work in small groups to maximise touches of the ball and whilst we broadly group by age we are open to movement between coaching cohorts based on ability.

🏑 Players will need a hockey stick, shin pads and a gum shield to participate, a left hand glove is also a good idea but not essential (although at higher levels is likely to be).
Please bring a still drink and snacks/packed lunch as necessary to suit the time booked.

✅ Coaching will go ahead in most weathers so please send your young player in clothing to suit the weather at the time of the sessions your young player is attending
